Deep Cleaning Wimbledon Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Deep Cleaning Wimbledon provides professional cleaning services in the United Kingdom. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means the individual, business, property manager or other party who books or receives cleaning services from Deep Cleaning Wimbledon.

Company means Deep Cleaning Wimbledon, the provider of cleaning services.

Services means any deep cleaning, one-off cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, after-builders cleaning, carpet or upholstery cleaning, or other cleaning services provided by the Company.

Premises means the property or area where the Services are to be performed.

Agreement means the contract between the Company and the Client for the provision of Services, comprising these Terms and Conditions and the details confirmed in the booking.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides professional deep cleaning and associated services across its operational area, including residential and commercial properties. The precise scope of work for each booking will be agreed in advance with the Client, based on the type of service requested, the size and condition of the Premises, and any specific requirements notified to the Company.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, the Services do not include the following: exterior window cleaning at height, removal of hazardous materials, pest control, structural repairs, specialist restoration work, or the cleaning of areas that are unsafe or inaccessible.

The Company reserves the right to adjust the quoted scope of work and price if, upon arrival, the condition, size or access at the Premises differs significantly from the information provided at the time of booking.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings may be made by the Client through the Company’s accepted communication channels. By placing a booking, the Client confirms that they have authority to enter into the Agreement and that they accept these Terms and Conditions.

3.2 The Client must provide accurate and complete information regarding the Premises, including property type, approximate size, number of rooms, parking arrangements, and any specific issues such as heavy soiling, pet odours, or post-building works dust.

3.3 The Company will provide a quotation based on the information supplied. Unless expressly stated otherwise, quotations are estimates only and may be revised if the actual work required differs from the description given at the time of booking.

3.4 A booking will be considered confirmed when the Company has accepted the booking request and, where applicable, the Client has paid any required deposit. The Company may refuse or cancel any booking at its discretion, including where the Premises are deemed unsafe or unsuitable for the Services.

4. Access to the Premises

4.1 The Client is responsible for ensuring that the Company and its cleaners have safe and reasonable access to the Premises at the agreed date and time. This includes arranging keys, access codes, parking permissions and clear instructions for entry.

4.2 If the Company is unable to gain access or commence work due to issues with keys, security, parking, or other access problems caused by the Client, a call-out or cancellation fee may be charged in line with these Terms and Conditions.

4.3 The Client must ensure that the Premises have a functioning water supply, electricity supply and adequate lighting at the time of the appointment. The absence of such facilities may prevent the Services from being carried out, and the Company reserves the right to charge for any wasted time or costs incurred.

5. Client Obligations

5.1 The Client must remove or securely store valuable, fragile or irreplaceable items before the commencement of the Services. The Company will not be responsible for damage to items that have not been removed or clearly identified as fragile.

5.2 The Client must inform the Company in advance of any known risks at the Premises, including faulty fixtures, loose fittings, areas of structural weakness, or any substances, materials or equipment that could present a health and safety risk.

5.3 The Client must ensure that children and pets are kept away from the work areas during the cleaning process, especially when cleaning chemicals or equipment are in use.

6. Pricing, Deposits and Payments

6.1 All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are subject to any applicable taxes or charges in accordance with UK law.

6.2 The Company may require a deposit for certain types of bookings, including large jobs, end of tenancy cleans, or deep cleaning appointments scheduled during peak periods. The amount and due date of any deposit will be confirmed at the time of booking.

6.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion of the Services on the day of the visit. The Company may accept payment by cash, bank transfer, card payment or other methods specified when confirming the booking.

6.4 For business Clients or regular service contracts, the Company may issue invoices payable within a specified period. Late payment may incur interest and additional administrative charges, and the Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel further Services until outstanding amounts are settled.

7. Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Show Policy

7.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule an appointment by giving the Company appropriate notice. The minimum notice period for cancellation or rescheduling will be confirmed at the time of booking and will normally be at least 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.

7.2 If the Client cancels or reschedules with less than the required notice period, the Company reserves the right to charge a late cancellation fee, which may be a fixed amount or a proportion of the quoted price, at the Company’s discretion.

7.3 If the Company is unable to provide the Services on the agreed date and time due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as severe weather, transport disruption, illness, or equipment failure, the Company will inform the Client as soon as practicable and offer an alternative appointment. The Company will not be liable for any consequential losses arising from such rescheduling.

7.4 Where the Client fails to provide access, or the cleaner is unable to carry out the work due to issues within the Client’s control, the Company may treat this as a same-day cancellation and charge a fee accordingly.

8. Service Quality and Complaints

8.1 The Company aims to provide a high standard of cleaning services within its service area and to meet reasonable expectations for deep cleaning and related work.

8.2 If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they must notify the Company within a reasonable time, usually within 24 hours of completion of the work. The Client should provide clear details and, where possible, evidence of any issues.

8.3 Subject to the circumstances and provided that the complaint is justified, the Company may, at its discretion, arrange a return visit to rectify the issue, offer a partial refund, or provide another suitable remedy. The Company’s liability will not exceed the value of the original service fee paid for the appointment in question.

9. Liability and Insurance

9.1 The Company will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the Services. The Company holds appropriate insurance cover for its cleaning operations in the UK, including public liability insurance, subject to the policy terms and exclusions.

9.2 The Company’s total liability to the Client, whether arising in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, shall be limited to the amount paid or payable for the specific Services giving rise to the claim.

9.3 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or any cost of alternative accommodation or services, arising from the provision or non-provision of the Services.

9.4 The Company is not responsible for existing damage, wear and tear, or defects in the Premises or its contents. This includes damage or deterioration that becomes visible during or after cleaning, such as existing stains, discolouration, scratches, loose grout, or fragile surfaces that may be affected by normal cleaning methods.

9.5 The Client is responsible for checking that the work has been completed to their satisfaction before the cleaners leave the Premises wherever reasonably possible. Later claims may be more difficult to assess, although the Company will give them due consideration.

10. Waste Handling and Environmental Compliance

10.1 The Company will handle and dispose of general cleaning waste in accordance with applicable UK waste and environmental regulations. This may include, for example, the disposal of vacuumed dust, general household waste, and packaging generated by the cleaning process.

10.2 The Company does not provide removal or disposal of large volumes of waste, such as bulky household items, construction waste, garden waste, or hazardous materials, unless expressly agreed and quoted as a separate service. In such cases, the Company will comply with relevant waste carrier and disposal regulations.

10.3 The Client remains responsible for any existing waste or rubbish at the Premises that is outside the agreed scope of the Services. Where the Client asks the Company to remove or handle additional waste not included in the original quotation, extra charges may apply.

10.4 The Company seeks to use cleaning products and methods that are effective and, where appropriate, environmentally considerate. However, the Client should notify the Company in advance of any specific environmental or product restrictions they require, such as the avoidance of certain chemicals or preferences for eco-labelled products.

11. Health and Safety

11.1 The Company is committed to operating in accordance with UK health and safety requirements. All cleaners are instructed to follow safe working practices while on the Premises.

11.2 The Company may refuse to carry out any work it considers unsafe or that would place cleaners at undue risk, including working at height without appropriate equipment, handling hazardous substances, or entering areas that are structurally unsound.

11.3 The Client must not request the cleaners to undertake any task outside the agreed scope of the Services or outside normal health and safety guidelines.

12. Personal Data and Confidentiality

12.1 The Company will handle personal data relating to the Client in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws. This may include contact details, service history, and payment information, used solely for the purpose of providing and managing the Services.

12.2 The Company will take reasonable steps to keep such information secure and will not share it with third parties except where required to provide the Services, process payments, comply with legal obligations, or where the Client has given consent.

12.3 The Company and its cleaners will treat information about the Premises and the Client as confidential and will not unnecessarily disclose details regarding the Client or the condition of the Premises to third parties.

13. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

13.1 The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, best practice, or the scope of Services offered.

13.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of the Client’s booking will apply to that particular Agreement. Continued use of the Services after any amendments indicates acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

14.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any Agreement arising from them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

14.2 Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Services or these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court or regulator, that provision shall be removed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any written confirmation of booking and agreed quotation, constitute the entire Agreement between the Company and the Client in relation to the Services provided. No other statement, promise, representation or assurance shall form part of the Agreement unless expressly agreed in writing by the Company.
